Re-finding my own voice

Let us address the obvious straight away. I know it has been quite a while since I last posted on this blog. Over 12 months in fact. It certainly was not my intention to go this long without posting, but I guess things just kind of happened, and the time since my last post got longer and longer. But here I am and hopefully this time I will not let it go quite so long before I post again!

Quite a bit has changed for me since I last posted here. I won’t go into full details, but it has made me think about a lot of things over the past year or so and one of the main reasons for wanting to start writing this blog regularly again is to help me re-find my own voice. I’ve come to realise that for a variety of reasons I wasn’t letting myself express my own opinions very often (a couple of exceptions being some of the previous posts on this blog), and that although I’d have ideas for posts, I wouldn’t go ahead with writing them for fear of what other people might think, or I just wasn’t sure how to write in my own voice anymore. However, I’m determined to get back into the habit of not just writing regularly again, but also to not be afraid of expressing my own views and opinions.

So, what can people expect from this blog going forward. Well, I’m going to be honest, it is going to very much be a whole mixture of different topics. There will almost certainly still be posts about theme parks as I still have an enthusiasm for them and very much plan to visit more new parks as soon as it is safe to travel again. I will hopefully write about both some new and old hobbies of mine, once restrictions are lifted there will potentially be some posts about my travels, plus no doubt there could also be some one-off posts if I find something I particularly fancy writing about.

I hope that what I write will be interesting to at least some people to read. One thing I do plan on sticking to though is not having set intervals for when I post, I very much still intend that what and when I post is because it comes naturally, not because a schedule dictates I have to do so.
